Lots of places around the country continue to open as restrictions loosen. But even if you are open right now, things aren’t exactly “back to normal.” Moreover, COVID numbers continue to rise in many places, and there’s a not-insignificant chance that we may be looking at more closures in the future.
With all that in mind, we’ve put together a sort of June round-up of marketing advice and changes that various platforms have made in an effort to help businesses.
Facebook’s Industry-specific Tips
Facebook has a page of marketing suggestions and tips up that is organized in two ways. First, it breaks things down for:
- Businesses that are still closed
- Businesses that are still slow, and
- Businesses that are normal or even growing.
Within each of these categories, they further break down the advice by industry. Retail stores, for example, have different tips than businesses offering professional services. A lot of it is stuff you’ve heard before, but it’s nice to have it compiled like this.

Content Marketing Institute
Over at the Content Marketing Institute, they’ve got a number of pieces up right now covering marketing and advertising in the time of coronavirus. A few of the best include:
A Quick Audit to See If Your Content Passes a COVID-19 Exam
and
How to Bring Audiences Together in the Social Distancing Era
Safety Tips for Businesses
Even Alignable is getting into the act. At the very end of May, they published an interview with a healthcare expert. In it, he offers tips to businesses on how to keep themselves and their customers safe without breaking the bank.
